Field of Study: | Bible/Biblical Studies Divinity/Ministry(BD, MDiv.) Theological and Ministerial Studies, Other Theology/Theological Studies
|
Description: | Taylor Seminary has a growing number of students who participate in theological education from a distance. This is due, in large part, to the Kairos Project. In Kairos, students walk alongside a mentor team and in community with fellow students. Their journey of theological education is integrated into the various aspects of their life (home, work, church, etc.), and learning is facilitated through contextually-integrated educational moments and adaptable assignments. As a result, the student’s context is an integral part of their journey and the way in which learning and development takes place.
The Kairos project is a very innovative approach to theological education that was launched by our sister seminary, Sioux Falls Seminary, in 2014. The two videos below provide an overview of the program. All students at Taylor can pursue their Master of Divinity (MDiv), Master of Theological Studies (MTS) and Master of Christian Ministries (MCM) degrees through the Kairos Project track, and the degree will be awarded by Taylor Seminary. |
